How fun is it to work with material from the best comedy on TV? Lots and lots and lots. The idea behind this was simply the old switcheroo, a misdirect fashioned with language, but finessed by the great voiceover artist, Steve Mackall (who always makes my copy better). Then just get out of the way of the clip and the brilliance that is Modern Family. Easy peasy.

NBC called looking for a fun, jazzy recap touching on all 22 episodes from Grimm’s second season – something that would appeal not just to the dedicated fans, but also to occasional viewers and even those curious non-viewers who happened to take a peek. I pitched 10 concepts and we settled on this quick talking, rather glib guy to take us through the narration. NBC loved the finished product and I had a ball writing and producing it.
